Action in and around Tallassee, Ala.??

Hey y'all,
A friend of mine who lives in Tallassee told me that he has been told there was a battle or skirmish about a mile or two east of Tallassee late in the war. A friend of his has found some things on his land, including a sword. He said there is a also hill in that vicinity called "Penatentury Hill", where supposedly Civil War Prisoners were kept(I don't know if C.S. or U.S. soldiers were kept there). I was wondering if anyone knows of this or any other battles, skirmishes, etc., in and/or around Tallassee, especially east of Tallassee? I know that Gen Wilson's men raided it and took the Tallassee Armory where the famous "Tallassee Carbine" was made, but I am unsure if they fought to take it or just walked right in!!??
Thanks,
Dave
