Re: JAMES LEWIS TUCKER
In Response To: JAMES LEWIS TUCKER ()

Jack,
James L. Tucker enlisted as Pvt, Co E, 37th Ala
by J.L. Skipper Apr 9, 1862 at Woodville, Henry
County; captured and paroled at Vicksburg Jul
4-10, 1863; later wounded Enterprise, Miss Sep
18, 1863; at Ross Hospital Mobile in Oct 1864;
Woodville is now Gordon, in Houston County.

James L. Tucker, Jan 31, 1832-Jun 28, 1884; m.
Margiana R., 1837-1911; this indicates to me
that she most likely filed for his pension, if
she did not re-marry; the application should be
file at ADAH; buried Ramah Primitive Baptist
Church Cemetery, County 55 and Ramer Loop south-
west of Cottonwood.
