Re: Aden Moore - Civil War Soldier

Thank You Ken. I appreciate your help. I don't know enough about the MOORE family to know - what Aden Moore was doing - joining in Alabama. I know that he was born in Hardeman Co TN & the rest of his cousins were in mostly the 14th Neely's Regt. Co E TN. He was a cousin to J J Neely (Neely's Regt). We had 3 Jacobs boys: Edward W - James - William R - in the 14th - Aden Moore had a brother James Moore in the 14th - I have not been able to find that, yet. My Grandad Moore told me that James Moore was coming home, when the war was over & he was shot & killed "for his horse." Another cousin was: James Calvin Neely (I have not found him, yet - may have been 14th) 2 brother-in-laws are J A Doyle - 14th & John Barnett - 14th -- another brother-in-law was Bell, Isaac T. he was in the 12th Con. Inf. Co A, TN - Then I listed another brother-in-law with you here on this message board & got great response: Moses P Crisp - He started out & married in Hardeman Co TN, also. Those 2 may have moved to Alabama. Moses was killed & Aden Moore moved to Fannin Co TX after the Civil War. You know - I see some Moore names on this Message Board. We very possibly could have Moore relatives in Alabama. We have only started in Hardeman Co TN. I am sorry to say - the Hardeman & TN Message Boards are not helpful al all. - Again - I appreciate your help. Rutherford B Moore
