About 20-30 years ago, relic hunting in the Mobile
area, found what appears to be a boiler thermometer
from some sort of steam vessle; just under 12" in
length and 1 1/2" wide; marked on the back G G
70 6; on the front "Taylor" Rochester, NY along
the side and at the top, in a flag, Accuratus and
just below a stylized JB and just below that the
word Tycos; increments are 100 to 400 of what is
obviously degrees; since it was taken from the
bottom of Three Mile Creek, can only assume it is
from something steam driven; it is made of brass
with a bit of the glass remaining......any ideas,
who, what, when, anything?
Thanks,
Homer
