Thanks... guess I did not describe it as I should have; it is a temperature instrument of some sort,
with the remaining piece of glass tube being about
1/4" in diameter; appears to have been blown with
white glass as a background, overlaid with clear
glass, but of one piece construction; also did
not mention it, but the flag is of a swallow tail,
nautical design on a staff with an arrow shaped
ornament on the tip of the staff....sorry I was
not as thorough as I should have been on the first
go round.
