Company I of the 29th Ala was made-up mostly of
those from Conecuh and Covington counties; only
a short entry for Isaac Carter in Rgtl History:
"Isaac Carter enlisted Aug 21, 1862 at Camp Lee,
Ala. Fate unknown"; if I am not mistaken, Camp
Lee was near Pollard in Escambia County; the 29th
was in that area for a number of months; perhaps
others can add to this scant information.
