Mr. Hayes, the time posted of 1849 is just an estimate based on other historical family ages when marrying. Charles Frederick Scott could have been born in 1939 or 1829. All we do know is that he died in 1902 + - a few years. The 1849 date was arrived at by subtracting from 1849 the typical family age of death thus arriving at the 1849 date. It is strictly arbitrary. Also,our family has a long history of military service, more than 40 members in the Civil War alone and in every other conflict since our family arrived in 1635. Thus my reasons for posting in the Confederate section. Thank you for your response.
