Can anyone direct me to information on this Infantry group? My gggrandfather enlisted in Co. G, known as the Cahaba Valley Guards, organized in Montevallo, AL on Sept 9 1861. Also, need information on Co. G, 23rd Regiment, AL infantry. Thank you.
