Re: List of Alabama officers who died in service

Just for Information:

The author is Chris Ferguson chrisfer@hotmail.com at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond Virginia.

I think this would be a good person to invite to the list. He is working on another book about the rest of the soldiers at Hollywood Cemetery. He has helped me a lot with the 6th Alabama Infantry Regiment.

The name of my book is, "Hollywood Cemetery: Her Forgotten Soldiers, Confederate Field Officers at Rest." It was privately printed, though Richmond Communications did all of the work for me.

The cost is $20.00, plus $3.50 for shipping. The National Park Service at Fredericksburg will carry the book, as will the Museum of the Confederacy (in time). You can also order one direct from me.

Alabama boys profiled, besides Hobson and Pegues, are David W. Baine and Sydenham Moore. Another with strong ties to Ala., but not in the main body of the book is L.R. Terrill. He's in the appendix because his burial site was discovered after the book went to print. That's how it goes with a place like Hollywood.

106 officers in total are profiled.
