I need help from some of you civil war buffs, especially Hayes Lowe who seems to know something About Joseph Mabry. I have a response from the Al Archives and History re my request for military records for Joseph Mabry, 2nd Al infantry and then 42nd infantry, Co B.(1862) They inserted a CONFEDERATE MILITARY RECORD for Moses J. Mabry, 2nd corporal, Co E 62nd Al infantry also for 1864. Is this an error or did he reinlist sometime after some time after Vicksburg? The given name situation is confusing. I admit to being civil war challenged but I read you guys and am trying to find anything I can on this gggrandfather. Thanks for any info you can pass on.
