Well, I don't find a Stovall in the 58th, in any company -- at least not in the Broadfoot list. There are a couple of other possibilities, however, that could put him elsewhere:

Stovall, Drewry AL 25th Infantry, Co. "D"
Stovall, Drury MS 24th Infantry, Co. "K"
Stovall, Drury M. NC 1st Cavalry (9th StateTroops)

with the first instance most likely, assuming he was in an Alabama unit. Broadfoot does not list any D. Stovall's except for these:

Stovall, D. AL Camp of Instruction, Talladega
Stovall, D. NC 1st Jr.Reserves, Co. "B", Corporal

Again, the first would be most likely, since it's an Alabama unit. I'd vote on the 25th AL as the correct unit, though.
