The name L. G. Honeycutt appears on rolls of Co. "G", 41st Alabama. If he was buried along with other soldiers who died of disease at field hospitals in the Manchester, Tullahoma or Shelbyville area, I would not anticipate that his last resting place would have received a permanent marker. This might not be the case if family members came to Tennessee and brought his body back to Alabama for reinterment at home.

I recall seeing a marker for a young Confederate in a cemetery in Brent AL. He had been killed in the Seven Days battles in Virginia. The marker read, "He Sleeps on the Battlefield". That would be the case for the overwhelming majority of Confederates who died in service, but this boy's family could afford a marker of some sort.
