The notes seem to indicate that this man served in either Company "B" or "D" of the 2nd Alabama Cavalry. If I understand, he lived in Bibb County, which borders both Tuscaloosa and Shelby. Company "B" was mainly recruited in Shelby County; "D" in Tuscaloosa. In either case, it appears that he served in the 2nd Alabama Cavalry. I hope to be able to check that for you in a few days.
