Re: Charleston, Atlanta and British cartridges

On April 7, 1865, Gen. Gibson, commanding division defending Spanish Fort, requested of Gen. Maury in Mobile a resupply of hand grenades and subterranean torpedo shells for his garrison. These were delivered by transport that night. Apparently, the Confederates were supplied with them throughout the siege.
