Thanks, George. The man who wrote the letters wrote the last one I have on April 24 at Montevallo. They had left Demopolis, and stayed a while at Montevallo where the railroad went up to Blue Mountain, near Anniston. He was either wounded or injured in the leg somewhere near Dalton on May 15. He was sent to Empire Hospital In Atlanta where he died. So, that puts the date they joined the AOT at sometime between April 24 and May 15. My guess is the first week of May just as Sherman moved south, as capsule summaries say they arrived in time to take part in the campaign.
