Cartrights, Alabama, 1866 Census

There are five households in Pike Co. Ala in this 1866 census. The Nanice Cartright household has this notation (one soldier killed). I assume he was killed in the Civil War. Can anyone confirm this and/or tell me more about this family? The households were next door to each other: Jas; Lenard; Jane; Nancie. No first names were listed - surely these families must have been related to each other. My ggtgranny was Mary Anne Cartright/Catrett George and her husband, Hugh GEORGE, (who is said to have also fought in the war)is listed as neighbor to these four Cartright families - thus, my interest.

Hoping for assistantance. Best Regards, Judy
