By way of introduction I am into my 8th year of research on WNA activities in Selma and other matters involving Selma personnel and/or manufacturing, ship building, logistics and transportation. As of now, to my knowledge, there is very little known about the Saint Patrick beyond the "spy letter" and Jones' two mentions (favorable) of it in correspondence to Mallory(?). It has been some time since I have gone over my material so I'm not really fresh on the topic right now but I'm willing to share whatever I have. FWIW, there is a descendant living in Texas, but about all they had in hand besides family "lore" was a tattered copy of an article which I believe was excerpted from the NO Times Picyune newspaper. Send me a PM and we'll swap numbers and go from there.
I am working on anything "Selma" and have extended my work to include the entire history of Catesby ap Roger Jones, the CSS Virginia, naval affairs Hampton Roads, Drewry's Bluff, Mobile Bay, all of the CS flotilla at Mobile especially the CSS Tennessee II, the Selma Brooke guns, CS Naval, Siege and Seacoast artillery and the art and science of Artillery at Sea in the 18th and 19th centuries. Lots'a great stuff out there, too!
