David Herring 33rd AL Co B

David Herring was the brother of my great grandfather Eli L. Herring. I have found that David enlisted as a private in the 33rd AL Co B Infantry on 1862 Mar 11 at age 35 in Clayton, AL. Muster in Roll dated at Greenville, AL. Ann Herring, mother, Skipperville, AL. No Des. list, no father. Sup. & verified 1864/08/06. Claim filed 1863/10/15. (1864/08/24). Authority: List, Condition of Claims, 1nd Aud., C.S. Treas.

Can someone interpret and explain the abbreviations? I would also like more info about where he served, where he died, where his mother likely picked up his body, where his body is buried......anything.
