Hello,

A Garrett Klenner is listed as a member of co.F 11th Alabama infantry at the Alabama civil war service database. It says he died of wounds received at Turkey Ridge while at home on furlough. The Database mentions he was a quartermaster. Does anyone know if that was an actual rank in the confederate army, or was he most likely an NCO or officer. Also, can anyone confirm for me if Col. George E Tayloe was commanding the regiment at the outset of the 1864 campaign. Thanks.
