My uncle John LeGette was a steamboat captain before and after the war. He was from the Lower Peachtree area Monroe County near Packer's Bend. there is a Legette's Landing near that area also. He served in Garrity's Battery until he was wounded at Murfreesboro. His records indicate the he was detailed to work on riverboat on the Alabama, Black Warrior, and Mobile. any information about boats, shop logs, schedules from spring 1863 to 1865?
