Re: Alabama & Black Warrior steamboats

My Grandfather John C. Green was from Lower Peach Tree Area. He Joined Co. B of the 38th Alabama Infantery. He worked on the River Boats (Tensie Moore) on the Alabama River after the war. See " Directory of River Packets in the Mobile-Alabama-Warrior-Tombigbee Trades (1818 - 1932) by Bert Neville, Published Selma, Alabama 1962. Hard to find but a good listing with river charts and many photographs. see also my www.38thalabama.com
