Thank you for the great info you have provided. Hiram Taylor was born in South Carolina (One census says 1825, another says 1835) and moved to Macon county, Alabama sometime prior to 1850. He is buried at Tallassee...so we are definitely talking about the right man. Thanks again for your help!
