In the summer of 1862 when the Army of Mississippi was transfered from Corinth to Chattanooga they rode the rails to Mobile and then had to be ferried to the opposite side of the bay to board more trains, does anyone know where the site of the Ferry was and if there is any sign of it. Im going to be in Mobile at the end of the month and thought about looking for the site.
