I recently received two letters from this man to his friend Hiram M. Lea, Amite County Mississippi, the father of George S. Lea, Co. C 7th Regiment Mississippi Infantry. These letter were recently found in the Lea Family Letters at Carlisle Barracks. His revised indicate that he is listed as J.B. and James R. Seward. The letter are from Atlanta 1864. I am trying to make a connection to this man's family or other interested 49th AL. researchers.
