I'm trying to establish a link genealogically to these soldiers:

B.F. Hudson
J.F. Hudson
G.W. Hudson
M.H./W.H.? Champion (the Champions in Co A, 23rd and Co B, 38th Ala Inf Regts were J.H.West's in-laws)

Unfortunately I'm having trouble tracking down the info on my grandmother's side (Hudson). I do know that the Hudsons and Wests had been, ahhh, "close", and that my grandparents were third cousins. While I'm chasing all that down, it's probably safe to assume that they are part of the not-so-extended family given that they served in the same company and presumably all enlisted at the same time.
