The MR dated May/June 1862 records his enlistment at Wills City. He was absent and in Knoxville sick. The MR contains the note: "commutation due since 28 Mar 1862" He had not been paid. In MR dated 30 Aug 1862 to 30 Oct 1862, he was present and last paid 30 June 1862. The remaining entries are from Federal records and detail his capture and imprisonment.
