Pvt. George M. Landers appears on a roll at the Talladega Camp of Instruction. He is also recorded on a Receipt Roll at Talladega dated 14 Feb 1863 for Commutation of Rations for 12 & 13 Feb 1863. Pvt. G.M. Landers of Co. E, 22nd Ala. Reg't. Volunteers appears on a Receipt Roll dated 02 May 1863 for Commutation of Rations for furlough 01 May 1863. He was paid 02 May 1863. Pvt. George M. Landers of the 22nd Reg't. Ala. Vols. and Pvt. M.W. Taylor of the 44th Reg't. Ala. Vols. were received at Camp Buckner (barely legible) at Talladega, Ala. on 11 Aug (no year legible) under guard of M.J. Jellartine for desertion. They were turned over to George P. Ring, Capt. Cmdg. Camp. Pvt. George M. Landers appears on a Roll of Prisoners at Talladega, Ala. paroled 20 May 1865. The roll is dated 20 Jun 1865 and authorized by Brevet B.G. M.H. Chrysler, Cmdg. U.S. forces.
The records on file seem to place Landers at Talladega in each entry.

Note: B.G. Morgan H. Chrysler's command was the lead element of Gen. Lucas' Brigade that moved from Spanish Fort/Blakely in early April 1865 to Stockton, engaged the 15th Confederate Cav. at Mt. Pleasant, took possession of Claiborne, Perdue Hill (where they captured the flag of the Claiborne Guards, today at the Ala. State Archives), entered Monroeville and moved north toward Greenville, Ft. Deposit, and Montgomery.
