Hughes in Company G, 11th Alabama

If possible I would like to determine the Hughes family connections of Company G, 11th Alabama Infantry. Jesse Hughes was captured at Gettysburg and reportedly exchanged shortly thereafter and rejoined his unit. Jesse attended the fiftieth reunion at Gettysburg in 1913. He is said to have enlisted with two of his brothers in 1861 (source: Military History Online - Civil War Geneology Database). One possibility is Captain John B. Hughes of the same company, who was wounded at Gettysburg. John enlisted on 11 June 1861 at Tuscaloosa (source: ADAH). Another is Private Basil M. Hughes, also of the same company, who was severely wounded at Gettysburg and captured. Basil lived in Tuscaloosa as of 24 February 1867; on that date he wrote a letter to Gettysburg historian John B. Bachelder, in which he mentioned that he was first treated at the field hospital located at the Butts farm (where the brigade wounded were taken), and afterwards transferred to the General Hospital - presumably Camp Letterman (source: Bachelder Papers, I:305). But there is also William W. Hughes, again of the same company, who was detailed to the division provost guard as of mid-1863, however William was born in Sadler, Mississippi (source: ADAH).
