Wiley E White was not conscripted. He helped organize a volunteer company that entered service on Sept 9, 1861. Conscription went int effect on May 16, 1862. Besides, physicians were exemption from conscription.

Dr White appears on the 1860 census a a resident of Roanoke in Randolph County AL. He was buried across the river in Troup County GA
