Wow, speaking of padding your resume. He wasn't the founding Captain, didn't serve from the very beginning until the very end of the war, etc., etc. That's actually very interesting, as many folks in Lawrence County still don't like Rand for his having taken a slice from Lawrence and given it to Colbert in 1895. (Some folks have a longer memory than others about such things, and nobody has a longer memory for a good feud than a North AL redneck such as yours truly.)
