I have not been able to identify him in Census records

Richard Harris

Residence Pike County, AL; 15 years old.
Enlisted on 3/1/1864 at Pike County, AL as a Musician.
On 3/1/1864 he mustered into "I" Co. AL 15th Infantry
He was Surrendered on 4/9/1865 at Appomattox Court House, VA
(Served as Colonel's orderly)

A War Department letter of July 28, 1958 records show he enlisted at Greenville, East Tennessee, also shown at Troy, Alabama and Bulls Gap, Tenn. Noting also that he served as a Musician & Colonel’s Orderly.
