No sir, the 12th Arkansas Battalion was known as Rapley's Sharpshooters, later as Bayne's Sharpshooters. Stirman's 1st Arkansas Sharpshooters was a regiment-sized organization resulting from the addition of Bridges' Sharpshooters to Stirman's 1st Battalion Arkansas Cavalry (Dismounted).
