Re: Arkansas Civil War Death Help

Thanks for the info. Definately not our Daniel. So I guess I will keep hunting.

We know that Daniel was from Washington Co. Have found some documents indicating that a Daniel purchased land right around the time he would have moved to the area. Also have a copy of letter written by one of the Shibly brothers, written during the letters mentioning D.B.Simpson farm and Sylvester Capps were from the Shibley brothers, Wm H. H. and John S. The letters were written by the brother who was a musician from their encampment in Missouri. Letters were to their parents in Van Buren AR. There is information on LDS website stating that Daniel's middle name began with a B. We have found him in the 1860 census in Brush Creek, Washington township with his wife and children. He died sometime after that and his wife remarried Jonathon Cloer and they eventually moved to Texas. Wife's maiden name was Capps which connects to the name of Sylvester mentioned in letter. The Capps, Cloer's , Simpson's and Shibleys were all from Missouri as far as we can tell.
