So the man rode with Nathan Bedford Forrest! How interesting!
I feel sure you realize he had to be not only brave but tough to have ridden with the 7th Tenn. Calvary. Was he a Turner also?
I am currently working on marking the grave of a 7th Tenn. Cav. man, Wm. S. Herron, who was one of the wagonmasters.
I am hoping to have a dedication for the marker in June, if I can get all the folks to agree to come at that time.
In regard to the Turner, does that family line go back to South Carolina by chance?
