Bryan, I have a copy of Elizabeth Waters (widow of C. C. Waters) pension application from Lamar Co., TX. In the appl., Mrs. Waters and witnesses all indicate that Waters served as a captain in Co. C of Adair's 2nd Cher. Regt. This would have had to be Adair's 2nd organization for which there are no records. I know that Emmet Starr (History of the Cherokee Indians) indicates on page 147 that Waters was a captain under Bryan. Do you have some information other than Starr that indicates Waters served under Bryan? Hugh
