George Clinton Harris, KIA at Shiloh

George Clinton Harris was the son of William Roland Harris, a Tennessee Supreme Court justice who died from injuries in a steamboat explosion outside Memphis in 1858. He was the nephew of Tennessee Gov. Isham G. Harris and Maj. James T. Harris of the 15th Arkansas, KIA at Shiloh.

The family monument in Memphis indicates George, too, was KIA at Shiloh. He does not appear to have been with any Tennessee unit, but as the family had a farm in Arkansas, it is possible he was a member of an Arkansas unit.

Does anyone have any insight into young Harris? I would appreciate any assistance.
