Bryce

As I said before Frank and I did some checking on this a couple of years ago maybe not that long. Anyway I have checked with my sources who had some knowledge of the people involved in the Rare Books Publishing Company.

It would seem that their books were published without proper authorization. No one in Pine Bluff knows who Ms Landers is/was, or how she was involved with the enterprize. The gentlemen that was directly involved in the publication is now deceased. And the family printing company that actually arranged/did the printing was sold in the 90's and is no longer in business.

Supposedly, the book in question was reportedly simply copied from a handwritten notebook of John C Wrights which was then held at the Camden Public Library. It may be at this late date that notebook no longer exists. No researcher in recent memory has confirmed that this notebook is actually still there.

While the Rare Books publication of Wrights Memories is commendable because it has preserved a rare insight. Their method and motivation certainly muddied the waters for anyone who wished to revise that work with additional information and documentation.
