I would like to know where I can locate the articles(s) that will show when/where the Confederacy -Powers that be- stated if anyone deserted before April 9, 1865 would not qualify for Confederate benefits. I realize there are many reasons causing one to sign the Oath of Alliegence before that date but there seems to be a lot of confusion in many people's minds. I have no problem with this issue but I need something to read/verify.
