Springfield was the county seat at that time. It is just north of Morrilton. Of course, Morrilton was just a small hamlet called Lewisburg. Springfield was the major center. A number of units enlisted there. Sounds like he went up there and joined with the 32nd there. I do not have the dates of their enlistment, it could be he went on up just prior to the conscription act taking effect in April of 1862.
