Re: 15th (Johnson's) Ark Inf. Co. B

Since I last posted, I have been digging around in my files, and I believe I might have it this time. Ransom and James L. had a brother named Lenzie Rush Meeks (L.R.), born about 1836. Lenzie married Nancy Lourinda Pearce in Quachita County, AR, on 15 Oct 1861. I don’t have Lenzie’s date of passing, but Nancy died 31 May 1940 in Taylor, TX. She possibly filed a claim on Lenzie’s service while living in Texas, thus the Texas State Comptroller inquiry. Alan Pitts of this board can instruct you on how to get Lenzie’s service and pension records.

I do apologize for the incomplete posting before. Since this is not my direct line, I had to dig into the “other” closet to find Lenzie.
