Doug,
It basically takes the framework from his earlier "One Damn blunder..." and expands upon it. Lots of new maps and a great array of photographs. Even more great detail about the Shreveport defenses and river defenses. There is also a very nice concluding chapter about the congressional investigation into the campaign. Battle detail is still very very sparse, which was disappointing, but that's never been Joiner's focus, at least so far. For dedicated Red River enthusiasts I would say it's a worthy purchase--whether it's $40-worthy you'll have to decided on your own!
