Looking for grave of Abraham Shepherd

Is there anyone who can help me find a grave of a relative who was killed at the battle of Arkansas Post on Jan. 11, 1863. His name was Abraham Shepherd. He served in the Union Army, 116th Illinois Infantry, Company B. He was a private. I'm wondering- were all of the soldiers such as Abraham Shepherd buried there at the battle site or would there be a chance that the body might be shipped home for burial? I thought that I'd also read that the Union dead were originally buried there but were later moved to Pine Bluff and then later yet moved to Little Rock. Can anyone tell me if that's true? You see, here in my community cemetery in Illinois I've found a listing that says that this Abraham Shepherd is buried here but there's no stone to mark the grave. Is there a website or someway else that I can access records of the National Cemeteries there in Arkansas to see if there is any record of Abraham Shepherd ever being buried there or if he was at one time, was he later moved back here to his home area to be buried in his family plot? If anyone can help me, I'll surely appreciate it. Thank you. Brad.
