Capt Wm Crawford of Co E (later COL Crawford) wrote two letters detailing some of his company in the battle, naming casualties. These can be found in one of the Arkansas Historical Quarterly journals as well as the Journal of Civil War Regiments out of Calif.

There were letters from SGT Fred Bush of Co E published in THE SALINE, the journal of the Saline Co History and Heritage Society. It has a very good photo of Bush in uniform prior to Shiloh probably.
