Thank you for all of your information Ken. I have seen the postings of Lars Gjertveit before on the internet. However, I was trying to stay true to what my gr gr grandmother swore to on her Confederate Widow's application. I guess that things weren't that clear to her in 1899, 11 years after her husband had died, and 34 years after the War Between the States. I also was not aware that 'white' men were allowed to enlist in Indian Territory units. And thank you again for enlightening me on my reference to who's 'Territory' it was.
