"Unfortunately, this census is not complete, but it does use 118 rolls of microfilm(M123). Returns are available for the District of Columbia(Lincoln Post #3), fragments of states alphabetically from CA through KS, part of Kentucky, states alphabetically from LA through WY, OK and I.T., and veterans or widows on naval vessels and in naval yards. The CA-KS fragment cover about 220 servicemen from these localities:
CA-Alcatraz military post at San Francisco
CT-Ft. Trumbull at New London, the naval station at New London, Hartford Co Hospital in Hartford
DE-State Hospital for the Insane at New Castle
FL-Ft. Barrancas at Warrington in Escambia Co, St Francis Barracks in St. Johns Co., part of Jefferson Co.
Idaho: Boise Barracks inAda C. and Ft. Sherman in Kootenai Co.
IL-part of Chicago in Cook Co., and Henderson Co
IN-Boonville in Warrick Co and four from Reynolds, White Co
KS-Great Bend in Barton Co
NY-one soldier from a NY unit whose entry is mostly illegible and whose residence is not given.
