Chief, unfortunately the tombstone is in error. The man's name was Pvt. W. J. Parker. There was no W. G. Parker in the 9th Arkansas. There were some W. G. Parker's who served in other Arkansas regiments, but none of them served east of the Mississippi, and all of them survived the war.
