The Arkansas in the Civil War Message Board

Capt. Reed, 12th Ark. Cav.

According to one source, Captain Reed of Company D, 12th Arkansas Cavalry (Wrights). was killed in action on October 25, 1864 in Missouri.

Is it possible that he was killed at Westport on Oct. 23rd? What do the records say?
