I am under the impression that Captain Galveston M. Reed, formerly of the 26th Arkansas Infantry, was KIA on 25 OCT 1864 during the Battle of Charlot’s Farm (also known as Marmiton River and Shiloh Creek). Price had to make a stand in order to facilitate the movement of his supply train across the Marmiton River. I got the date of his death from pension records.
