I think an article on the battery is definitely in order. One reason that I am interested in the battery is that we found one of their camps near Lewisville, AR several years ago. One of the best items to come out of it was a "Mississippi A" cuff button with a "Hyde Goodrich, N.O." backmark. Sadly the area has been destroyed by the timber companies through extensive clear-cutting. It appears as though the battery traveled extensively throughout the TMD, from the Indian Territory to the Mississippi River.

Does Wade mention anything else about the battery's movements in the TMD?

Its sad to think how much first-hand material has unknowingly gone up in smoke over the years.

Also, does your institute have anything on Brig. Gen. Mosby M. Parsons, or anything from members of the Confederate units under Parsons' command (8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 16th MO Infty, Pindall's MO SS, or Ruffner's or Leseuer's MO Batteries)? I'm working on a couple of writing projects regarding Parsons, and am looking for any unpublished materials.
