Wanting to know about the AR 8th Calvary, PVT Irwin's Co, McRay's Regt in Van Buren County, particularly about the capture at DeValls Bluff and imprisonment in Little Rock, July 4, 1864. The Federal Prison was located on the present Capitol grounds. During this imprisonment several were buried in a mass grave on the grounds, with deaths caused by Rubella and starvation.
